Firearm Buying Instructions

Anyone who is legally allowed to own and buy a firearm can buy at our store. It is your responsibility to comply with all Federal, State and Local laws when shopping on this site. However, we do not ship any firearms to California.

International ~ We do not ship any firearms or firearms accessories to any country other than the USA.

To purchase you must:

  • Be an adult who is able to enter into a contact. In general, you must be 18 years old to buy items from the firearms sections on this site.
  • Be 21 to purchase a handgun or 18 years old to buy a long gun.
  • Make arrangements with a dealer (FFL licensed) in your state to receive the item and transfer it to you. Check with your local gun shop, pawn show, etc. They can help you understand the process. If they do not do transfers find another FFL or check with the FFL guides on the auction sites (Gunbroker.com or Auction Arms.com) or ShotGun News. It is standard for your FFL to charge you a fee for the paperwork to receive the gun for you.
  • When you place your order put the name and address of your dealer in the comments during checkout.
  • We welcome special orders. If you don't see what you want, just ask using our "Contact Us" page and we will quote it for you.
  • If you are interested in one of our firearms you can use our secure shopping cart to place the firearm on hold. You can use a credit card. The Shipping cost is added when the firearm is ready to be shipped NOT during checkout.

  • If you used "Print and call" call us to make arrangements for payment.

  • Arrange for your FFL holder (licensed dealer) to send us an original signed copy of their FFL (Federal Firearms License). We accept faxed copies (620-326-5999) and emailed (cssales@countrysidewalk.com) copies. Emailed copies should be signed in colored ink (blue, red, purple but not black).

  • Have your FFL holder note your name and order number on the FFL copy.
  • We will email an updated invoice with the serial number and shipping cost included. You will also receive an automated email with your shipping information when we print your shipping label.
  • Make sure your dealer knows the firearm is on it's way.

You must make arrangements with your FFL holder before buying an item. By contacting the FFL holder before buying, you can verify that all state and federal laws will be observed. For most firearms, you must be able to pass a NICS background check.

We can not and will not ship firearms or firearms accessories out of the United States. All international orders will be cancelled.

Again, it is your responsibility to make sure you comply with the laws of your city, and state.

Important Notice:
There will be a 25% restocking fee for firearm's returned to us because you do not pass the NICS background check. If need be, discuss with your FFL holder about the possibility of doing the background check before the firearm is shipped.
